“Eliana Light was true to her name and used her music and teaching to bring great light and uplift to our congregation during her Shabbat visit. As our scholar-in-residence, she led moving services throughout Shabbat, and also did a Havdallah concert on Saturday night and led a delightful t’fillah for our Hebrew school on Sunday. Each event had a slightly different audience, ranging from our eldest to our youngest population, and each one was touched by Eliana's beautiful music, contagious enthusiasm, and deep yet accessible spiritual teachings. As a rabbi, I also loved working with her - she had innovative ideas that brought new spirit and energy, and she was happy to adapt to our community's needs.
